Over the past two centuries, mankind has been advancing too fast for its own good. Technology and medicine have provided us with near perfect conditions for further population growth.
Unfortunately, this means more ideas for making money and a vast majority of those ideas include pollution and destruction of natural resources.
That way we keep destroying our planet in order to make ourselves richer, and that’s all we ever do. Nevertheless, the Earth will strike back.
It might be today, next month, next year or sometime in the next decade, but it will strike. And we’re already witnessing the prelude – you just have to read the signs.
Scientists have come to the conclusion that some cities are going to disappear in the next 100 years, mostly due to climate change and human negligence. This is the list of those cities.
San Francisco, USA
There is a 75% chance that an earthquake of a 7 or higher magnitude will happen sometime by the end of this century. It is going to destroy this city.
Detroit, Michigan (USA)
Detroit is one of those cities that’s economically destroyed. It is slowly becoming an abandoned city and it will become a ghost town. Even now, some of the areas look completely abandoned, like you have entered some post-apocalyptic town.
Venice is one more city that’s going to suffer because of the global warming. The city already sinks and the sinking speed has rapidly increased in the last 100 years.
This city is another example of the economic degradation. Corruption, drugs, crime, poverty, low birth rate, high mortality rates, and many more factors will make this city disappear.
Mexico city was built on a dried up lake. Because of that, the city is literally sinking. It has already sunk 10 meters in the last 60 years.
New York City, New York
Terrible storms and constantly rising sea levels are going to destroy this city. The recent increase in the number of storms is only the beginning.
Capital of this small country is also facing those rising sea ocean levels. The waterline is now almost 2km away from the only highway that is connecting this city to the rest of the country.
Bangkok – Thailand
This magnificent city is slowly sinking and the sea levels are slowly rising. It will take less than 100 years for the city to become just like Venice. Now, the flooding won’t happen overnight, but if you want to see it you should go ASAP.
